Today, guests are used to checking themselves in - but not all systems take advantage of the benefits of self-check-in. IDC Guest Registration does this. The guest card is automatically printed for the visitor, while an SMS or email notifies the employee in question that the guest has arrived. The guest feels welcome and as few people as possible in the company are disturbed.
The system does not necessarily make the receptionist redundant, but it does offer the opportunity to save time on the routine part of the arrival, which can instead be spent on the personal welcome and other more important tasks.
